Through a series of short, practical lessons, you’ll learn how to develop smoother strumming, improve your timing, and gain the confidence to play songs with greater expression and consistency.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout this course you’ll explore:
- The foundations of good rhythm and timing.
- How to develop a relaxed, consistent strumming motion.
- A range of practical strumming patterns used in popular songs.
- Techniques for making your playing sound more natural and musical.
- How to practice rhythm effectively using our guided exercises.
Each lesson builds on the previous one, so we recommend completing them in order.

To get the best results:
- Work through each lesson in order.
- Spend a little time practising before moving to the next lesson.
- Download the lesson guide and use it alongside the videos.
- Remember that steady progress is more important than rushing ahead.
Even 10–15 minutes of focused practice each day can make a noticeable difference.
Before You Begin
Every ukulele player develops rhythm at their own pace.
Some techniques may feel unfamiliar at first, and that’s completely normal. Take your time, repeat the exercises as often as you need, and don’t be discouraged if everything doesn’t click immediately.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s building confidence, consistency and enjoyment every time you pick up your ukulele.
When you’re ready, begin with Module 1, Lesson 1.1, and let’s start developing your rhythm together.
